I started Blythewood Bookkeeping because I kept watching the same thing happen to good business owners: they’d pour everything into their craft — from running a nail salon, to managing manufacturing operations, to leading a retail store and team — while the books quietly became the thing they dreaded most. They fell behind, confused, with bookkeeping hanging over every evening that should have been for relaxing and recuperating for the next day.

Here’s what I believe: you shouldn’t need an accounting degree to understand your own business.

That belief shapes everything about how I work. Your reports arrive by the 10th of every month — in writing, every time. They come with a summary in plain English, not accountant-speak. And when something in your numbers deserves your attention, you hear about it in a sentence you can act on, not a spreadsheet you have to decode.

Because depth beats breadth. Rather than being passable in five platforms, I chose to know one, the platform most American small businesses and CPAs already use, inside and out. My clients get the benefit of that focus every single month.
